Nomination Process

A Nomination Form is available in several formats on the National Wildland Fire Training website. Download, fill out, and mail or fax as appropriate.

All Agencies will submit their nominations through their Geographical Area Training Representative (GATR) for prioritization and forwarding to NAFRI.  GATR’s will be able to assist in submitting the appropriate documents through the correct protocol. 

NAFRI course coordinators are also available to answer questions regarding the nomination process (520-799-8787). See Contacts page or Course Schedule to identify specific course coordinators.

Federal employees should submit nominations to the following courses through the IQCS nomination workflow. Paper and electronic NWCG nomination forms are also accepted. Contact the course coordinator if you have questions.

CIMC Complex Incident Management Course

Submit nominations directly to the course coordinator for:
NAFA – National Aerial Firefighting Academy
NAFA II – Advanced National Aerial Firefighting Academy

All nominations must be submitted on the NWCG training nomination form (NFES-2131) or through the IQCS nomination process.
