Tim started working for the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) as a seasonal employee on a BD crew where he was introduced to the use of fire as a land management tool. He subsequently pursued fire in all its forms and by any means possible which included working on hotshots, engines, helicopters, and fuels crews. He has had the opportunity to apply fire to the landscape in every state in the country and subsequently learned from a lot of great people about the art and science of fire.
