Aubrey started her career with the US Forest Service (USFS) as a Wilderness Ranger in SE Alaska back in 2015. Her fire experience began in her hometown with a Women in Wildfire Training Camp out of the Los Padres National Forest followed by a four-month prescribed fire internship through The Nature Conservancy in Mobile, AL. She has since regularly served as a R10 fire militia. She has previously completed 120-day details as a Visual Information Specialist with The National Advanced Fire and Resource Institute (NAFRI) and The National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG), as well as a Training Coordinator here at NIPFTC. She has a B.A. in Journalism as well as some coursework in Information Sciences.

She used to volunteer with the city fire department and enjoys working out, reading, and spending time outdoors.
